[image: pastiche of the classic New Yorker cover with Ra’s al Ghul in a top hat with a monocle, observing a bat. The title reads “the Gothamite”.]
Long story.
At first I was like, “That. Is. Brilliant.”
But then I was all, “But why wasn’t it Ozzie? He actually HAS a monocle and hangs around Gotham more!”
Because I think about such things, you see.
That’s the first thought that came to my mind as well; Ozzie would have been a good character to have here.
That thought had occurred to me, actually! When I was drawing it.
This drawing was originally a joke based on this image:

[image: screenshot of Batman: the Animated Series, with some man with muttonchops being yelled at by Ra’s al Ghul, in a tux, with a monocle, bow tie, and top hat.]
And that is why it is Ra’s and not Oswald Cobblepot. (I may or may not draw another version with Penguin later, because you’re right and it is fitting!)
